Durham is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. Getting around Durham is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across North Carolina's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We had a lovely dinner here! The food is high quality, delicious, and beautifully presented. Nicole, our waitress, was exceptional! She was helpful, friendly and funny. She made our experience more enjoyable. Five stars for her. Weβll definitely be back, this restaurant has an amazing ambiance!

High end spot suitable for a drop in or a business meal. The menu has a healthy amount of apps and small shareable plates. They were very nice and made custom maki (sushi roles) for our kids, as well as steamed dumplings instead of fried. The Taiwanese salt and pepper chocked was by far my favorite (very authentic), followed by the eel bun, and beef tartare. Not a bad item on the menu!

Love this place! Weβve been back a few times now and itβs consistently really good. We tried the Beef Tartare, Avocado Fruit Salad, Lemongrass Chicken, Thai Pineapple Crab Fried Rice, and sushi β everything was super fresh and full of flavor. The fried rice was definitely a standout. I also loved the salad! Beyond the food, the service was consistently excellent and the atmosphere is warm, stylish, and inviting β the kind of place you actually want to linger in.

To summarize, I think they still need to work out the kinks then it could really be a nice place to go. Iβm writing this to provide some feedback in hopes that they can Improve. π I would wait for a maybe half a year before I try again. The good: πthe decor/atmosphere was nice. the cocktails were great. The unagi, smoked salmon and uni nigiri was fresh. The okay: ππ» - Ham Fried rice: 8/10 - Salmon bites: 7/10 - Tempura 7/10 - Crispy rice tuna/hamachi 6/10 pretty much anything fried was a bit on the oily side. The bad: π - Mussels: π€’ -100/10 some mussels definitely went bad before it was cooked. They need to be stricter at checking inventory before cooking/serving it - Golden age roll: π₯² 2/10 the batter had an old oil taste and I ended only picking out the insides to eat. - Scallops: π© lacked depth/flavor and sauce tasted identical to the mussels dish 3/10 - crispy shrimp: π 4/10 - they seemed to use a cornstarch slurry to make the sauce thicker but it didnβt mix thoroughly and was clumpy leaving a powdery flour taste to the dish. I was excited for this one because it reminded me of a dish from Bistro Na in LA but ended up disappointed.

Great atmosphere, with really lovely decor. Attentive service, but food was a little slow to come out despite us being only one of 3 tables in the restaurant. Possibly due to workflow issues from having only recently just opened. Nigiri was really great - fish was fresh and rice was wonderfully seasoned. The other dishes ordered were just okay and had room for improvement. Taiwanese popcorn chicken - plum powder is nice but overpowering because the base chicken wasnβt salted or peppery enough. Crispy shrimp - fried with the shells on, but not crispy enough so you couldnβt comfortably eat it with the shells on. Also way too sweet. Pineapple crab fried rice - crab was nice but not enough pineapple flavor, so it ended up tasting somewhat bland. All in all, food was decent but for the price, I was hoping for better execution of the food.
